Finches

Seeing as it was so sunny, we decided to head South a bit to where we wouldn't burn, and it was starting to rain slightly when we got to Eyemouth.

Very pleasant coastal walk along to Burnmouth, chips and a pint in the 'First and Last (in Scotland)' pub, which has a wedding chapel attached (east coast equivalent of Gretna).

Home via the hills (Ayton, Cranshaws, Gifford)

Finches (Green, Chaff.. and Gold (many)), 2 black grouse (on the way home), the usual sea birds (redshank too), a single seal, a dead pygmy shrew and, most excitingly (or is it?), a Snow bunting. I couldn't catch his accent, so I don't know if he was a rare local (only around 100 on the whole island), or a common visitor (15,000) or so.
