Remembrance Service

at St Nicholas, GK, we rang the bells half muffled for this somber occasion, with Matthew ringing two bells (such an amazing skill) The Church was full and the local Scout, Cub and Beaver Group were in attendance with their standards. We were missing a couple of Veterans this year who normally play leading roles in the service, one sadly passed away and the other moved to be closer to his family after his wife's sudden death, sad that they were not there but those who took over the roles did a wonderful job.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them"
