Ben Stac..
Lovely day today, blue skies, but chilly.
After the Sunday routine of a cooked breakfast, Archers Omnibus, and preparing tea, we went for a walk up the Laxford river. Parked the car, and walked 100 yards to the river bank, and then followed the Anglers path. This is a lovely stretch of river, with rapids, and still sections. Cut deep into the Sutherland countryside, it's a gem. The path eventually re-joins the road, so we turned round and did the walk in reverse. Got our feet soaked, along with trousers, but Tanni had a great time chasing sticks through the heather and tall grasses. Interesting to see hailstones from the other day still in the bases of the grass clumps..
Back home now with the heating on and fire lit. Chinese for tea tonight, home made of course, with home grown veges..
