It was one of 35 A4 class of streamlined 4-6-2 steam locomotive designed by Nigel Gresley for the London and North Eastern Railway in 1935.
Originally named the Woodcock, this train was in use from 4th May 1937 to 29th May 1965 .
It is now on show as part of the the Great Gathering at the NRM in York, afterwards it will be returning home in Canada.
