Lord Mayors Show

Once again the 1st Hook Scout and Guide Band were fortunate to be able to play at The Lord Mayors Show today. Waiting at Smithfields for our position in the parade....number 55.....some of the woodwind kiddies give a thumbs up in anticipation of a good day. Once this picture had been taken the weather deteriorated quite considerably. Wet. Cold. Miserable....lunch time made worse by not having anywhere in the dry to wait. Instruments are now drying out and uniforms hanging up to air as there is a Remembrance Parade tomorrow morning.
Despite the weather we had a great day and all our new trainees enjoyed their first experience taking part in one of the worlds largest unrehearsed events.
