Foot in mouth (well, Facebook)

Seriously mortified! Therefore I am seeking blip reassurance!

Set the scene: Friend of mine from Uni has gone traveling with her girlfriend, who I have yet to meet. They are posting lovely pics of the two of the in various locations.

The latest pic is of the girlfriend wearing local clothes with the caption 'K lives her now'. It is in a typical hotel room, scattered with backpack debris. On the bed in the very far off background is an arm.

Now, I should have left it. But I write 'concerned about the dismembered arm on your bed...'. I should have left it.

Friend replies 'it's ok, the owner is in the room'. I should have left it. I then realise that the girlfriend has one arm, clearly in the bed is her prosthetic, with her watch on. Arg.

Quick as a flash, I reply 'won't know when it's beer o'clock with out it'.

Is the damage done already blip? Am I safe or in the midst of PC hell?

Made my size 6s feel very large when entering my mouth.
