Winter Wheels

The twice yearly ritual of changing wheels rolls around. Depending on where you live in Sweden most people change from summer tyres to winter tyres sometime in November or December. As you can see in the large version of this photo my winter tyres have metal studs. This is not so good for the roads or the environment but it is the only way I'll get up the hill to where I live.
The last week has been below freezing every night so the drive to work is on frosty roads, at least until I get to the main road which is usually gritted or salted. Soon the snow will come :-) but this year at least I'll be ready for it.
