As promised
Last summer I blipped a lace cap hydrangea and commented that the centre looked like French Knots. Now, sixteen months later I have something to show for the suggestion. This is a mini quilt, a little smaller than A4 size. The hydrangea is embroidered in a variegated thread on a beige linen and then surrounded with pieces of old lace, with a few more French knots thrown in for good measure.
I had trouble getting a good picture of this, I really need lessons. You are just seeing the centre of the quilt here. Maybe you will be able to see it better large.
