The Great Scottish Tapestry

Today we took a trip to Cockenzie House to have a look at this.

I thought it would be a quick jaunt with a bit of tea & cake.

For lots of good reasons. It isn't.

It isn't a quick cuppa + cake + a bit of marvelling at proper sewing, it's a two hour embroidered tour of Scotland's history.

It's amazing.

It's over 100 beautiful panels depicting the beginning of life on earth right through to the establishment of the Scottish Parliament.
