Empty Nest

I saw this on my afternoon walk, while we're still visiting my son & his wife. I found it to be so sad & yet was still drawn to it. The colors, the perfect shape of the nest; still intact, and the beautiful sun still shining on it. I quickly realized how this is the exact quintessence of our current life. It represents everything I am feeling right now. As a parent, we must let them spread their wings, take their chance & leave the nest. And even though the nest is now "empty", it still represents home, wherever it may be.
