The Distinguished Flying Cross

Awarded to UK RAF personnel for "an act or acts of valour, courage or devotion to duty whilst flying in active operations against the enemy".

During the Second World War, 20, 354 DFCs were awarded.

In the last days
the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
