This odd little photo captures a "Katie-ism", a little quirk of her that I am glad I can record. She's very funny about the labels in her clothes. She likes me to remove them often times. Today she presented me with her bottom, tights pulled down, and asked me to cut the label from her new tights because it hurt her. The denim skirt is the only piece of denim she owns - she wont wear it because its not soft enough, and because she's slim most of the jeans that would fit her come with adjustable buttons. Which she tries to get me to cut out.

We had a slower start to the morning today. I'm not even sure particularly what we did with that time. We just didnt do what we usually do as quickly as we usually do it! Which was nice. She said to me this morning "mummy I'm a getting big girl, but I'm not really that bigger yet. So it's still ok for you carry me". I asked "do you mean you want a carry to nursery?'. She replied 'yes. I want snuggles. On your tummy in the mei tai. I will walk fast fast fast when I'm a big girl, but now I want snuggles'. I melted.

She was really snuggly on the way home, almost going to sleep on my tummy as we walked. She had a fabulous play with her Grandad up in her playroom after tea. They played with her campervan, they built train and road tracks. She objected to packing up. Grandad read half her bedtime story to her, then mummy read the rest. She was asleep by the time I'd gone back up with the milk she asked for.
