lessons in Eve

Eve detests shoe shopping and when faced with the prospect this afternoon she threw her most almighty public tantrum to date. she even made herself vomit. This was effective insofar as I was utterly mortified but ineffective insofar as it made me more determined to do the shoe shopping deed rather than risk a repeat of the same on the next visit. I sincerely hope that will be the first and last occasion of clearing up sick in John Lewis.

Once Grandma sensibly calmed us all down with tea and scones, Eve forgot all about it. I may take a little longer to recover! Grandma will be wryly amused for some time.

This story will be rolled out if and when future Eve gets into new shoes. So far, it doesn't look like she got that particular Bullivant gene.
