Pentewan Beach
I’ve had FOUR walks today. Yay! Today I am a tired, but happy, little collie!
This morning I went for my usual trot around town and we just managed to get home before it started pouring with rain. However Ann said, ‘Molly, I don’t care what the weather is like. I’ve got the whole day off and I don’t want to waste it by slobbing around watching Jeremy Kyle. We’ll go to Tragos because I want to buy a new standard lamp and they have a very good lighting department.’
Well, normally I don’t like shopping because shopping means I have to sit in the car and wait. But I like 'Tragos' because I know that is where Ann buys loads of treats for me in bulk. Today she bought me so many treats that they won’t all fit in my treats basket! She’s also bought me an advent calendar but she’s hidden that until December?!
The other reason I like shopping at 'Tragos' is because there’s a river walk there. Today we went on the river walk as soon as we arrived, then I had to guard the car while Ann went shopping.
When she came back she said, ‘Molly, would you like to go on the river walk again?’ I was soooo excited! I love the river walk, there’s ducks & hens & lots of new smells.
..............Then Ann added, ‘We’ll go to Asda in St Austell because it will make a change from the rubbish St Ives Tesco so you’ll need to wait a little bit longer and then I’ll take you for a play on the beach.’
The beach I went to play on was at Pentewan. By this time the sun was out for the afternoon, the tide was out and there were loads of other doggies out playing. I stole a ball off a little King Charles spaniel but I gave it straight back to his owner so I was invited to play, then I had a bit of a play with a black lab.......... Then I found a manky old tennis ball so Ann threw that for me until it disintegrated. I did a bit of swimming, I chased some ducks that were in the river & some seagulls which were on the beach and I generally just had a very nice time.
The only thing that ruined today; was when we were 2secs from home we got caught up in a traffic jam. There are 3-way traffic lights on the approach into St Ives (something to do with scaffolding around the bank?!!) and we had to sit and wait for 40mins. Not happy! Ann says she is going to report the problem to the Mayor of the town!!!!!
I’m lying flaked out now. I’ve had no sleep time today!!!!!
