Alms to the flutist

Today's picture is a contribution to my endeavor of showing the street life of Bangkok. I came across this old man playing on his pipe near an MRT station. Just as I had my camera ready, a passerby approached him to give him some money.
It is common for Thai people to give alms as it is a strong Buddhist conviction to help the Poors.
I did too later on. A Thai fortune-teller had told me last summer in Geneva that I ought to give a coin to a poor person whenever possible. And I must admit, I do it quite often now and each time I feel good too.
