Mighty oaks from little acorns

This oak sapling (Quercus robur) was given to me this week by a friend and is awaiting transplantation to a larger pot. I don’t anticipate putting it in the ground for a few years. These oaks grow slowly, but hopefully my grandchildren should live to see a decent sized tree.
