Helmshore Textile Museum. It's sad that the once mighty Lancashire Cotton industry is now resigned to history. The mill workers were nothing but wage slaves and all the skills that went into making the machines are now lost. The museum has recently undergone a revamp and is a fascinating place to visit with demos of the machines and hands have a go a spinning.
