Opening Time

I photographed this in tight bud on 24th October and now, as you can see, it is in full flower. Others on the plant are still just tiny buds, but this one overhangs the windowsill and gets the heat from the radiator below. I'm assuming this is why it is first to flower - just that little bit of extra warmth and encouragement and it blooms magnificently... just as we all do, I suppose!
