An update about Anne's brother-in-law and the cancer.
It's spread and continues to spread with frightening ease and speed.
The last offer of chemotherapy a few weeks ago will not provide any quality of life in the coming weeks, and weeks is all it's likely to be.
An operation to let him eat normally doesn't offer much chance of survival.
Estimates suggest anything from a few weeks to a few months, although Christmas might not be possible either.
I considered not writing all this because it's grim news and it's very personal, but I think in the months ahead I might want to look back and see what I wrote about this, and when.
I've just been looking through blips from when I first wrote about this, and the earliest I can find is December last year.
