Raindrops left hanging in the air

It stopped raining just for a few minutes and I could get out to catch these errant drops that had failed to reach the ground. Caught on spiders' webs, just hanging as if they had forgotten what they were about.

The reflection in each shows our fig tree and the kitchen window and roof.

I will confess to have made one drastic improvement to this shot that you may be able to guess if you can really think like a photographer or a physicist. Any guesses?
