From where I'm sitting

Taking time

It always takes me a while to feel like taking pictures again after returning from time away. Every day life feels so mundane in comparison.

If I had the technological know-how, I'd have blipped the starry sky as I returned from my first AGM since taking on my treasurer role on Monday. It was stunning (the sky, that is, not the AGM, although that was far better than feared!)

If I'd have had my wits (and camera) about me there were some lovely clouds to be blipped on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, in amongst the gloom and the grey.

So today I thought I would get ahead of myself, and took a blue sky / wispy cloud shot over the school while waiting for the gates to open this morning. Just to force myself back into it, really. Then this afternoon Littler G and I managed to leave early enough for the school pick-up run to stop to stomp in the leaves and mud, and go dancing near the dancing tree we walk past every day. This is something I often mean to make time to do. Today, having ignored her encouraged her independent play at home for most of the afternoon, I forced myself to actually make good on my mental promise. And, having seen how much she enjoyed it, I am going to make much more of an effort to do it again in future.
