is this gorgeous butterfly doing soaking up the South Staffordshire rays well into November ?

I'd been back into Birmingham to my super hairdresser (from Vietnam and an absolute sweetie) and decided to pull over at Pipe Hill Heathland because the sunshine and colours were so wonderful.

I expected lush ferns. I expected amazing sky and tree colours. I expected that to capture the woodland glades would be tricky.

But I certainly didn't expect this Red Admiral to be sunbathing, and looking so healthy.
