Drifting Souls
I'm enlightened, I've found god, I have seen the light.
I've found god and he's right here, in this young lady's fingertips. She plays and you see her fingers bursting with the light.
I've never been much of a religious person, but I can see why some are. I think believing in something gives you hope for the future, warms your heart, and makes you feel safe.
I think each and every one of us are born sinners and you either shun it as you grow or you embrace it and let the sins thrive within you.
This young lady manages to do both naturally, which is a gift really. I feel as though I'm notorious for my prejudices against every person I meet. I have a few amount of close friends because I never care to get to know anyone. I take one glance and figure: too boring, too preppy, too fake. It's terrible really, but I've been raised to be cautious about who I accept into my life.
However, this girl -- she makes me realize that there may be good in everyone. We are born sinners, but that doesn't mean we have to let sins run our life.
I sat and listened to her play the piano and I knew that everything would be okay. Some people, they're rocks -- making you feel like you'll be safe and held down when you're almost positive the wind is gonna blow you away. But her? She's a boulder.
