Reno 1
I had a very nice and quiet day ( you must be above 65 to call a quiet day "nice" :-) ), still warm and sunny outside. Got quite some office stuff done and felt like going for a walk with Maggie shortly before the sun disappeared. Today I wanted to start a series of Reno views. When I moved here in 2004 I found the brown mountains rather frightening, or depressing. Meanwhile I have found a lot of beauty in the different colors that both the town as well as the mountains display, according to the light and the weather. So you will be treated to a Town View every once in a while.
Today of the many shots I choose the one that came nearly at the end. Even if it is not totally sharp(hand held in low light), I like the atmosphere and the colors.
The big buildings in the middle are all casinos ( Reno is like a little Las Vegas but not with all these artificial "worlds" like Venice, Egypt or the like. Just hotels, gambling and shows. So this month I plan to see the Harlem Dancers next week and the Saturday there after, I am going to listen to the concert of Alice Cooper. Haven't been in a rock concert since ages, Mr. Cooper must be at least my age... but some of the oldies who visit Reno still make a good show.
So a special "good night" to all the Hard Rockers amongst you!
