Guildhall interior

Had a walk round to Leicesters` Guildhall today. It`s a beautiful building, built in 1343-46 for the Corpus Christi Guild.
Adjacent to St. Martins Cathedral in Guildhall Lane, it was restored earlier last century revealing medieval timber-work under the whitewash.
It was home to Leicesters` first police force in 1836, apparently they where notorious for their drunkenness.
If you`re in the area, go and visit it. Admission is free, they just ask for a donation for the upkeep.
Oh and it`s well haunted.....
