Nails...

Shuffling some furniture in St Paul's church on Bute - and the end of a pew needed to come off to allow the pew to fit in a new space (all done with experimental canonical approval of course!). The end came off with a little encouragement revealing some delightful Victorian pre-industrial style nails, square in section and uneven. The photo is A little grainy with the light, but you get the idea.
