I quite like this technique and it's real easy which suits me to a T although I could have done with a bit more light on the right.

For anyone who fancies giving it a try it's pretty simple. Just put something on the floor, focus on it with a camera mounted on a tripod at about F11. Turn the lights off, give it about 6 seconds and quickly run a torch light over it.
