See my halo shine.......

......so I've only gone and made some home-made paneer haven't I! (that's a 'how to' video btw, and it's a doddle!) One of the guys at the corner shop was sorting through the milk stocks in the fridge when I was in yesterday and found he had some 2litre bottles that probably wouldn't sell because they were nearly at their best-by date and they'd just had a new delivery.....'could I use one rather than it go down the drain?' Silly question;-) The only problem I had was finding a cloth to strain it through.....until I remembered the muslin-weight curtain thingie that's been lurking at the back of the wardrobe still in it's original IKEA packaging, £3 price tag (impulse buy, the way you do;-)) for at least a decade, a quick soak in hot water to check the dye didn't run (luckily it didn't!) and job sorted!

Now all I've got to do is decide whether I'll go the sweet or savoury route with the result.........

Note to self: 2 litres full-fat milk yields about 400g of paneer
