Villagers
Off to the Queens Hall in Edinburgh to see Villagers tonight.
Started off with a bit of a trauma as muppet here decided to rip off a ticket from the strip and keep the part clearly marked "THIS IS NOT A TICKET"... arse. Luckily it was sorted out very efficiently by the boys in the Queens Hall box office and after a good bit of slagging from Pauline and Tracey we were all in.
Skipped the support as the Williams Bros. blonde beer was especially good and then maneouvred ourself down the front for the gig, I've seen them before and they seem to have matured though Conor O'Brien still retains that sensitive vulnerability. All in all a very good show; good crowd that knows how to STFU and leave Facebook alone for a couple of hours helps as well.
After being at the soulless Hydro in Glasgow it was great to be back at a wee gig like the Queens Hall and making eye contact with the artist. Always better that way.
