Dozy Reindeer

Took a trip to Cribbs Causeway in Bristol today so that Mrs TPV could have another one-to-one at the apple store (where you can't buy fruit!), and found this 'castle' being built outside the mall complete with a load of as yet unpainted undecorated reindeer! To the left there is an open air ice-rink being constructed, and inside the mall there are the Christmas decorations all ready for the switch on.
The lights and ice rink all come into action on Thursday evening. I'm guessing that is their late night opening night (assuming stores have anything else that is) in the run-up to Christmas. Very pretty, but all a far cry from a baby born in a cattle shed and visited by the shepherds who were most probably outcasts or at least despised in the Bethlehem of the day.

Just about 50 days to go and we will be celebrating the most important birth in the history of the world!
