like guinness, i dont travel well

In Edinburgh on my lonely ownsome, closeted in a cowgate hotel room in Scotland's most enigmatic city, wish I had company to get up to mischief with on the streets, but alas its work shmork. What a waste!

Good things: first year ever I have escaped the fireworky bangs thanks to the choo choo train journey and the noise of waverly station and Russian cab driver, no school bag packing to do and homework dictator duties tonight (thanks mum, thanks Dave) drinky wine. nice person lifting my guilt and smiling while giving me his train seat (see below). Being slightly more eccentric.
Bad things: missing family, not managing to get WiFi to work, crappy hotel tv channels, having to go to conference tomorrow instead of swanning around IKEA in the style of edina absolutely fabulous, being rubbish at getting hotel lift to work, being basil fawlty with the door adjoining next room, engaging in hunger games type behaviour to secure a seat on the rush hour train from Aberdeen, feeling guilty and offering seat up. Being an old lady that young men give up their seats for ( see above, hahaha). Going slightly more crazy.
