Fast Flowing River
Another take on autumn on the River Tay while these glorious colours last. Today I chose a fast-flowing section and got the exposure down to a slow shutter speed of one second. I was able to brace the camera against a mossy cushion of bark on a convenient tree and keep it still when I clicked the shutter. Also, the light in the afternoon when this was shot, was fading fast, so setting a low ISO and a smallish aperture increased exposure. This was the best of a series of shots. This morning I captured mist on the hills with sun on the river, but the photographic effect of a longish exposure on flowing water was the one I liked best. It looks good in large.
