candied petals
I confess I had a long sleep last night after my day yesterday and when i woke it was to a sharp frost with the temperature at minus 2 despite the sun shining. It took me a while to wake up with a cuppa and then I remembered that I would not be walking today as I was told not to drive or risk dogs tugging me on the lead for 24 hours, so my friends were graciously doing the needful. I quickly grabbed the camera and ventured outside and found these plucky geranium flowers. The frosting is already starting to melt and so I missed the sharpness of the frost crystals but it is a reminder to me that these valiant flowers were still trying to flower into November.
When my friends returned they told me that the scenery had been glorious this morning with an inversion across the valley. A blip missed for sure!
