Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Our Labor Day weekend started early. On Thursday afternoon we drove 8 hours northeast to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Pennisula (UP) of Michigan. After just half a day, I had already decided that this it was one of the most beautiful places in the world and definitely one of my favorite places. This is saying a lot because I grew up on Lake Superior so seeing it from another angle really should not have been too amazing. It was breathtaking.
We took up camp at 12 Mile Beach which as advertised was an endless view of sand and cyrstal clear water in both directions for as far your eye could see. Day One took us to Log Slide with a view of Au Sable Point to the left and Grand Sable Dunes to the right.
