A confusion of lines

Ever since the Farm Pond overflowed last Christmas I've been keeping an eye on it now and again after heavy rain. So far, so good.

I have to keep reminding myself that the short-lived overflowing was after we'd had five days average rain in 24 hours, nevertheless it has made me twitchy!

Todays level is no worry even after a heavy prolonged downpour overnight. At it's height last year the level stopped just short of the top of the post - that's overflow point!!!

It was only when previewing the pic that I realised the crisscross of wires on the old fence made quite an attractive spread of shapes and patterns.
