'peace man'....

... or a potentially pierced ear and munched finger depending on mood!
The third session of volunteering and spent my time in the area where the birds from the hospital go into the next stages of recuperation before being released.

Magpie babies, raven and kookaburras to be fed, fruit mush to be prepared, micey poles to be defrosted and general housekeeping including laundry, aviary cleaning and replenishing the goodies for the resident lorikeets... listed by the Australian government as an unwanted organism because of the damage it does to fruit trees. So sad for such beautiful birds

This character and his buddy are permanent residents and my new 'bff' spent the whole time I was sorting out their nectar, fruit and water supplies perched on my shoulder.
Very cool but not so had he/she decided a nip was in order:)
