The Melbourne Cup

Always a big day in Australia, and one that Bob is never that keen on, so it seemed a good opportunity to take the gals from work out for a lunch. Knowing someone who is studying event management at TAFE, he mentioned that we might like to mosey on down to Wenty, so we did.

The students put on the lunch, from start to finish, and they did a fine job. This is Rhianna who is studying Event Management there. She was helping with taking photos amongst other things so we all had our photo taken together in front of this backdrop and proceeds to the Rural Fire Service.

There was a wee bit of bother with the large screen and we never did actually get to see the race. What a hoot, a Melbourne Cup lunch without the race! They were so apologetic, it didn't matter a damn and we had a great time.

As usual, I get a ticket for everyone in the family in the sweep, and, as usual Alex's horse came in first. Same old, same old.
