Ever Wondered How a Camera Works?
DDW's November Challenge Day 5: "Crazy"
How does a camera work? It's the Iconograph Imp of course. For anyone who doesn't read Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, here is an explanation:
An iconograph (camera in the Discworld) contains a tiny imp who quickly paints the pictures (also called iconographs) of the subject at hand.
I suggest going large (hit L on your keyboard). The resolution is not great as I had to significantly crop the original, but I tried to pay attention to detail, reproducing the iconograph imp on the picture he is painting.
And the connection to crazy? Well, there is a fine line between genius and madness and I think Terry Pratchett manages to navigates that line. The inside of his head must be a very strange place for him to be able to come up with the characters, places and story-lines that inhabit his books. He's 'crazy' but in a good way.
Pretty awful night at badminton last night. In fact I would go so far as to say the worst night ever. It's not unusual for 1 person to have an off night. That doesn't spoil the evening but when everyone has an off night at the same time ....
Mick & Coral round for dinner tonight and we are going to play Bezerwizzer. A new board game I picked up for the bargain price of £5 in Toys R Us recently. A lot of game for the money, but maybe there's a reason why it was so heavily reduced. I will report back tomorrow.
