Cup Day

Helen is visiting us again so we dressed up today and went to a seafood smorgasbord at the Golf Club to watch the Melbourne Cup. Neither Helen nor John could back a winner. I broke even when they sold out of sweep tickets before I could buy any. However our table won the trivia competition which may have something to do with my husband's misspent youth. It was a fun day. (Roger drove us home. He is celebrating Dry November. When I asked why he mumbled something about a Wet October.)
