Bridgemere Memorial
It has to be said that I missed a sitter today and I'll need to go back soon and capture it. However, had I not missed that, I'd probably have missed this. And this is arguably more interesting. This memorial is sitting in a layby close to a tiny village in Cheshire and it's to the crew of a Wellington bomber that disintegrated over this field during a training exercise nearly 70 years ago leaving six of the seven crew dead. It's clearly well cared for and there has obviously been a laying of wreaths given the recent anniversary.
