Today's"in our time" podacst was - The Dissolution of the Monasteries.
There were over 800 monasteries that were vanished, a huge change to the culture. And the buildings.
The changes lasted for 0ver 100s of years, from about 1530, all the way through Shakespeare's era, and Cromwell. And it affected all the countries in the British Isles.

Bought new gloves, it's chilly out there.

One advantage of winter is when you have to get ready to go outside- sort of like an astronaut. Amusing.
