TWC
Went to see The World Championship for track cycling today and very exciting it was too - especially seeing Laura Trott pick up a well-deserved gold in the omnium.
Long day - Lawrie and H1 picked me up at 07:30 to get over to Manchester and we didn't get back until after 18:00, so a full day of spectating.
I'd never been to anything like this before, so it was all new to me. And I realised just how hard it is to photograph cyclists going at up to 75kph, even when we were sat close to the start/finish line. Good practice at panning! I got a better photo of Laura Trott waiting at the start, but for me, this one gives a better sense of speed and power - and at least *part* of a leg is in focus ;-)
