Cowboy takes Cover!
The old wing back chair made a nice "hood" for Cowboy to snooze under :) Both He and Sadie got baths after a long romp at the dog park with Big R. No one was pleased about that except myself as I benefit from the better fur smells upon return!
We watches a PBS Frontline special on concussions that football players get here and how devastating they are to the brains of the players. (duh!) But because of the medical research and testifying the NFL finally has made some changes in regards to the head hits etc. Later we watched our team the Seahawks have a come from behind win---I notice that there were some penalties doled out for head hitting. The team is 8 and 1 now but really did not play very well.
In the late afternoon R had to go take a class on firearms so he could learn more about some of the gun types his legal public defender cases deal with. Being a guy from western Pa. he rather enjoyed the "shoot" part of it. No guns in this household however. While he was taking that class I went to see the movie 12 years as a slave---a true story based on a book written by the man who was kidnapped and enslaved for 12 years of his life before he reattained his freedom. It was written around 1853 I think. It was an excellent film deeply disturbing and actually happened quite a bit then. He was only one the few ones that got his freedom back again.
Have a good week all:)
