having received 'tarns of lakeland' from john and anne nuttall (the authors)' and not feeling too spritely we walked to view a tarn near Troubeck. it is on private land but visible from the road. we got in conversation with a local who now lived in a 'dead' community as all the surrounding properties were holiday lets. he was desperate fro company - and we enjoy talking to folk - so it was a pleasant hour. the walk was a photographers dream with shots of deer, jays, tarns, snow sprinkled mountains and jets and really washed away the monday blues which is why l chose this pic for today.
