THE DERBY ARMS, ST MARY'S SQUARE, AYLESBURY
I understand that the old pub has been converted into flats though the pub name remains high up on the outside of the building. Interesting building in that it has a Georgian façade which has been tacked onto the front of a much older building (possibly !!)
Up to the JC this am & then I had a hop up to St Mary's square for a few pics. The sun was shining really brightly this morning which meant that it cast shadows of the trees against the walls of the old houses which have remained unchanged for hundreds of years. This is one of the few areas of Aylesbury which has not been touched by foolish town planners who have knocked down so much of out urban heritage, replacing it with concrete & steel.
I may well post another shot from here tomorrow.
I am due at the chiropodist at lunchtime & then I must go to the PO to return a pair of boots which are too tight. Getting a bit desperate for boots - can't seem to find any that fit.
