a few good men
There he goes. thats baggers ...off for a new life in kent.. transport clerk extraordinaire, top driver, and damn fine egg...weve lost some real characters from the place this year, Pete "unstable" cable, (sorry pete ...but it was necessary to give ya nickname and that one rhymed)..Petes currently on his voyage of discovery to the south americas...rediscovering the joy of living no doubt. Mike Murzell...who made it to retirement, liked Mike , always good value, Wilfie...who made it to retirement, but i feel wanted to carry on after losing his wife, but taking a chunk out of a roof meant that retirement was the way to go for him. Hard as nails he was,, no matter what the weather always ina tee shirt,, minus 14 we had a couple of years ago...theres him ..tee shirt..Phil Shakespeare..thrill seeker and a fine gent, Stan "the man...braveheart" ....lurched into retirement by duff knees ... funny funny guy..and now just heard that Gary "the Colonel " saunders had a heart attack last week, luckily hes fine now.. but what a shocker..and a wake up call...
The life of a truck driver isnt easy..used to be regarded as the knights of the road...now just regarded as a nuisance by road users and generally treated like morons from "management" ..oxfoed english definition of management is... a person who makes ill informed dictates and knee jerk decisions based he who shouts the loudest, at that time... Oxford english definition of truck driver is .. to take issue with with the aforementioned. ..Tongue in cheek all of it,, im not quite militant ..yet..we all rub along. But one thing that my workplace has is character, although the latest character to bow out will be a huge loss,, people are the lifeblood of any business, as much as that grieves managers, business without people with character is a business without a pulse let alone a soul. All the best Ian "baggers" Baggerlay ..its been emotional !!
