An Unkindness of Ravens

By Nevermore

Bonfire day

Finally, I had a whole day free and it wasn't too windy or hot, so I was able to burn my HUGE piles of dead wood and tree prunings that had accumulated over the last few months. It took me all day, as I have to keep the fire fairly small and under control (hose at the ready, which I had to use a couple of times when the grass started smouldering…). The native woods I was burning (tea tree especially) just explode into flame instantly. No wonder this land burns the way it does.
