The Minster

We were in the city to do a spot of shopping and had a well earned coffee part way round (shopping can be exhausting you know)

We are fortunate in York that high rise buildings are few and far between, so good views of ancient buildings are possible. There is also a rumour (I have no evidence either way) that planning applications for tall buildings in the city are blocked to maintain the cities character and the views from/to the Minster.
