chip! chip!

my cousin leah and the dog she's looking after, "chip." when i was looking through the shots i took of them, you could see the progression of leah's impatience with chip, trying to get him towards the camera. quite adorable, really.

this is probably the weirdest/funniest thing chip does. he'll ride around in the golf cart with leah with no desire to run for himself. he and leah--they're good pals

was up at my cottage this weekend. one last hurrah for summer before school starts tomorrow. we had some friends up saturday and family celebration yesterday. i saw my cousins from "up north" and they saw their cousins from "down state."

festivities started at about noon sunday. what i did:
finished summer reading, ate WAY too much, swam a bunch, tubed a bit, ate some more, played some badminton, had a bonfire, saw some northern lights. also got sunburned somewhere in there. not bad though so i'm happy.
