Fallen expectations.

Hot chocolate. Big oversized jumpers. Pumpkin carving. Candles. Rainy days. Fruit pies. Orange leaves. Frost. Scarves. Wind. Crunchy leaves.

All these things are romaticised with the idea of Autumn (or fall).. Every social networking sight has hoards of teenage girls getting excited about 'cozy nights in on front of the fire' but in reality autumn sucks.

As I woke up this morning and heard the gale force wind and torrential rain against my window I absolutely did not want to go to work. In reality we drink about 1 hot chocolate a month over winter, wear oversized jumpers that are far from as flattering as the girls on tumblr, don't even carve a pumpkin, barely light candles, hate the mess the wind and rain makes of our hair and make up, and get soggy leaves stuck to our boots.

I guess autumn is a great opportunity for me to do some photography but in reality it's too cold an soggy outside to tolerate for the sake of potentially good photos... Maybe next weekend.
